One day at school I was wearing a new pair of pants and I had forgotten to take the stickers off of it. Some random girl whom I had never met before ran at least 50 feet down the hallway yelling, “Hey, you!” at me, but I didn’t hear because it was way too early in the morning. She finally caught up to me and told me my stickers were still on and that she hates when that happens to her. Thank you, random girl from 10th (maybe 9th) grade. You made my day. You are awesome.

Hi BrendanI have two questions for you.I’ve just had my first cmemorcial casting and was wondering how long it takes casting directors , directors and their clients to decide whether or not they want a particular actor?I’ve applied for a number of cmemorcials and other tv work on Spotlight and not heard anything; as I have heard how important it is to have a showreel on there ( which I don’t yet have) I’ve put a few clips on CCP which I sometimes give people the link to. Is this the right thing to do? I’m a bit worried it might do more harm than good.best wishesHazel Bawden

I met an amazing woman 6 months ago who has inspired me in so many ways. She is a teacher, a counsellor, a motivator for youth, a coordinator for community activities, a student, a lawyer in training, and the list goes on.
She is an awesome friend, an amazing woman, and an alluring and stunning beauty.
She is one of the most compassionate and caring people that has entered my life in the past decade.
She even lent me her car for a week- when mine went for repairs- despite the need for her to travel an hour to work each day.
Most amazing is her dedication to her daughter. It is unconditional, unmoving, evergrowing and I she is the most passionate and dedicated mother I have the priviledge of calling my friend.
    You know who you are.

The first thing I do every morning before I get up is I read a few pages in a book on positive thinking that I keep beside my bed. Todays chapter covered how vocabulary can change the way we think and perceive things. What made me stop reading only to re-read the last section was a very simple yet genius statement. It said “I honestly cannot believe why it’s called an ‘alarm clock’. I prefer to think of it as an ‘opportunity clock’.” That statement made my day totally awesome and will make this an awesome week.

I met this girl. She’s got a boyfriend but still decided to hold my hand when we both passed out on a couch after a night of too little sleep. She makes me laugh and I love the person I am when I’m around her. I’ve only known her for a few days but it feels like we’ve been hanging out for years. She’s awesome and I feel awesome when thinking about her. I want to thank her for being around and making life awesome.

On my flight back to Raleigh I had a couple and their child on their laps next to me, a couple and their child on their laps behind me and a mom and her 4 children on the seats behind them. A gentlemen with a full row asked the one family next to him if they wanted a full row and switched places with them. The woman a few rows back allowed me to sit next to her to give the other family a full row. No crying children, just happy families. Thank you gentleman and woman on flight 801.

Dear BettyThanks for your question. There are lots of poiesivts here, gaining experience in commercial work will stand to you. Moving to straight acting can be at times difficult but most definitely not impossible (Milla Jovovich). I would suggest trying to get a few short films under your belt, maybe fringe theatre or attend one of the larger theatre open days (this maybe aged restricted though). I would also suggest keeping up the commercial work as your working with directors who maybe looking to shoot straight drama projects ..and your paying the bills.

I dropped $5 while I was checking out at Target today. Instead of keeping it, the woman behind me got out of line so that she could run after me and give it back.
